Saturday Night Fun Great Grandfather Roulette
Here is your assignment if you choose to play along (cue the Mission Impossible music, please!):
1) What year was one of your great-grandfathers born? Divide this number by 100 and round the number off to a whole number. This is your "roulette number."
2) Use your pedigree charts or your family tree genealogy software program to find the person with that number in your ancestral name list (some people call it an "ahnentafel" - your software will create this - use the "Ahnentafel List" option, or similar). Who is that person, and what are his/her vital information?
3) Tell us three facts about that person in your ancestral name list with the "roulette number."
Well all four of my great grandfathers were born from 1837-1864 and dividing by 100 gives me 18.something so number 18 is Jorgen Pedersen.
Jorgen Pedersen married Johanne Margrethe Jensdatter and they had six kids.
Jorgen Pedersen was born in Tullebolle, ,Denmark as were his six kids
Since the six kids were children of Jorgen their surname is Jorgensen (by this time even the girls were called Jorgensen, earlier they would have been Jorgensdatter)
So the six kids were, Rasmus b. 1825, Jens b. 1832, Hans b. 1838, Karen (my great grandmother) b. June 8, 1840, Marie b. 1842 and Lars b. 1844

Wordless Wednesday Lumber
Another picture from my great aunt Latisha Vanderpool's photo album.
As before I do not know if this is Latisha or not.
