I spend a lot of time looking up obits in old newspapers and run into a lot of interesting articles, so the merger of two very old funeral homes is interesting. Smith Funeral Home and Hennessey Funeral home merged in 1980. So where are the records today? The Hennessey Valley Funeral home 1315 N. Pines in Spokane Valley, WA 99206 has all the old records from both funeral homes. The article also says that Ball and Dodd Funeral Home merged with Thornhill and Langbehn Funeral Home in 1979.
